CB CTF LADDER MATCH

(BRBR) vs MAU

Sunday 18th June

I must say that CB wars during the World Cup are not really on the agenda for us at the moment, but MAU had challenged and we had a team so it was pull on our combats time and romp into battle. We had played MAU in a funwar before and they stuffed us but our best line up was out tonight so we felt we had a good chance.

1st Round Toujane

It all kicked off str8 from the start and we could see that the MAU lads were fine shooters. Jap and Muchach were on sweep duty, with Slatz n Sleepface running flags and me? Yups dug in like an Alabama tic watching for the MAU attacks. I had been away for a big game of football yesterday and an even bigger drinking session afterwards so my reflexes were akin to that of a big hairy sloth. Which was shown when the first MAU attackers stromed our base and had enough time to pick their shot while I fumbled around with my mouse like a rabbit in the headlights. Anyway this round was rock n rollo all the way through. Slatz made some superb flag runs, and backed up by Sleepo with Jap n Mucho high up we were able to cap 7 flags, MAU managed 2 and we got ready for another tough round. End score in this round 7-2 for the goodies.

2nd Round Toujane

MAU came stroming back at us with some well co-ordinated attacks, so extra special shooting from Grim Reaper was really making Rothy scream. Slater headed up some brilliant flag runs and Sleepo saved us several times with big flag saves. Muchach and Jap were just their smooth and composed selfs as always providing top notch shooting and looking after the runs. I had a particularly tough round trying to keep MAU at bay, and my stats suffered heavily for it, but its flags that are all important so my stat mojo can take a back seat. End score after this round 13-5 to (BRBR).

3rd Round Matmata

The PimPSlaPDaFunK Mojo was running on high after the first half on our map but we knew that MAU would have their tactics sorted well on their own map. There was much middle map mayhem in the begining and lots of blood and balls lying around, we capped the first flag and were in the process of capping our second when one of the MAU guys got a server connection fault, when he rejoined a PB problem kicked him. This happened everytime he rejoined so we stopped scoring at 2-0, to wait for them to get their team back in. Eventually they managed to get all 5 back in but I think they were gutted at all the time lost through the problem so they called it a day at the end of the round. Round ended 4-0 for the goodies, the MAu guys conceeded the victory and said goobye before leaving. End score for the match (BRBR) 17 - 5 MAU.

Conclusion

A tough war against a nice bunch of guys, shame about the problems for MAU during the 3rd round but we were very strong tonight and I think would have edged the victory anyway. Thanks to my dudez for a fabulous performance all round, Sleep0, Muchcho and Japie were all excellent but my PimP of The match vote would have to go for Slatz who hadn't slept form being out the night before and still put in an A1 performance. I'm pleased with the victory and am now going to watch the France match which I hope they win for my good m8 Spida.
