Clanbase COD2 CTF Ladder

(BRBR) vs dSF

Maps: Burgundy/Toujane

9th May 2005

WITNESS THA FITNESS!

There I was twidling my thumbs when up popped a little convo window on xfire from Mr Fl@sh looking for a 5 vs 5 official. So our old comrades dSF wanted a wee CTF party with the Lords Of Everything PimP? After a short discussion on TS and Slatz saying "Do It, Do It, Do It" we agreed to slap on the gerrycurl and hit the ammo room.

1st Round Burgundy

We started as yankee doodle dandy and thought that the funk rush would give dSF somethin to chew over in the early stages, turns out they thought the same and we met all guns blazin mid map. After siftin through the body parts we were able to rebuild our team and begin our 2nd assault. dSF made some superb attacks through our house but Slatz n V3n (our flagcapper turned defender this round) held the base well and greased the stairs into the US house making for a comical scene as they tried to overcome our base. I was stuck mid map bouncing off trees and having short range shootouts with the dSF dudez (some of which were highly exciting and made Rothy's extreme stealth mojo run on full blast). SleepO and Muchio were all out assault and were really struggling to push through dSF's gr8 defence, but they did and following alot of they get our flag, we get theirs, then the hunt begins skirmishes, we brought the round home in favour of the goodies. End score 3-2 to tha PimPs.

2nd Round Burgundy

We were torn between set up the PimpiN Wench strip poles in our base and distract the dSF fellas, or go on the assault and try to increase the lead. From the start of the round dSF really took the fight to us, I was on defence with Mucho but as the round developed this all changed and we constantly had to re-asses the sitrep as the time ran down. We went into a really smooth passage of play though and decided to stun the dSF guys by throwin some striktly for the hommies pimpin shapes which went down a treat, with this we were able to notch up a nice tally of flagos. Excellent allround performances by our team made the flagcappin easier and gave us a healthy lead at the end of this map. Score after 2 rounds 8-4.

3rd Round Toujane

dSF wanted to start as German so we put on our silly lookin Brit helmets and got ready for another tough 2 rounds. It was apparent right from the off that dSF had their sh*t down on this map and for the first half of it we were trying to stop it swinging back in their favour. Some really nice smoke use and strong tactical work put us right under the kosh. Slater had some superb defensive work and manage to keep back the stormtroopers rushin our flag through the smoke, as did Muchacho who controlled his side of the map perfectly. Venster really helped claw this back to us with his flag caps (remember he is still only playing with vision in one eye, quite remarkable) and SleepO gave strong cover to these runs. And me? well I was utterly astonishing in this war and don't really have to say anything else (seriously though we had a tough task takin this round back to PimPDoM as dSF were excellent, but diggin in and backing up eachother worked very well). Round score 3-2 to the goodies.

4th Round Toujane

So SoL!D came in for dSF, always a pleasant dude and a good example of team player. The dSF machine prepared itself for one last push to try and pull the game back in their favour and from the beggining we could see that we had our work cut out. Our initial tactics didnt work and we all went into dissaray, some good backup instructions from Slatz set us back into shape again and with dSF 2 flags to the good we set about getting stuck in. This was one of the best rounds I have played in, in this game so far. It had everything, lots of flagtouches, extremely good shooting from both sides, high tension and general quality gaming allround. SoL!D was dSF's player of the round, on the PimPiN side I'd be very hard pushed to pick a winner (maybe Slatz for his 4 kill shotgun work on defence at a crucial point in the round), it could have been any of us, the teamwork was very good. End score in these 2 rounds 8-6 to (BRBR).

Conclusion

So there it is, another fine war in a good week for the funkmachines and another few notches up the ladder to success. Cheers to dSF for another awesome war, was exactly the same in Vietcong and the standards aint slipped in this game. Big up all tha PimPoS, stuning result dudez, superb teamwork and all round groovyness brought this one home for daddy.
Rothy's Tune Of The Day Recommendation: Jimmy Eat World - If You Don't, Don't . Why? well the weather is rockin & c*ckin here in Scotland at the moment and there's nothing like the fabulous summer anthems of Mr Jim Adkins and his fine bunch to let your spirit soar with the joys of being alive.

KEEP IT LOCKED!
